Corydalis 'Blue Heron'

Spring is springing....time to look at plant photos and get inspired...

Corydalis curviflora var. rosthornii Blue Heron

Blue-flowered, deer resistant Corydalis is the plant for cool shade. The leaves are a bluer shade of green and it features a lovely fragrance.
Corydalis like evenly moist soil and may go dormant in the heat of summer. They are wonderful for edging shady borders and walkways.

‘Blue Heron’ was discovered in China by Dan Hinkley and has large, gentian-blue flowers that float atop stunning red stems. It may bloom all spring and summer in zones 6 - 8.
The genus Corydalis bears small, spurred blooms that will be familiar to anyone who loves Bleeding Heart.

You can get it at Digging Dog Nursery.
